EU-Russia Economic Relations: A Special Emphasis on Innovation Co-operation
On April 8, 2011 Prof. Kari Liuhto, Director of Pan-European Institute, Turku School of Economics (Finland), delivered seminar on“EU-Russia Economic Relations: A Special Emphasis on Innovation Co-operation”.
On April 8, 2011 Prof. Kari Liuhto, Director of Pan-European Institute, Turku School of Economics (Finland), delivered seminar on “EU-Russia Economic Relations: A Special Emphasis on Innovation Co-operation”.
The seminar covered such components of the cross-country comparisons , as innovative aspects of economic relations between Russia and the EU in trade, investment, tourism; cooperation in R&D and innovation development. The main focus was made on the analysis of current trends in cooperative activities in science, technology and innovation.
An important part of the seminar was devoted to discussion of the processes and mechanisms contributing to long-term development of innovative cooperation between Russia and the EU, as well as existing problems in this area . Prof. Liuhto presented analysis of the current state of Russia's innovation policy and made recommendations to improve the state regulation of S&T and Innovation in Russia.
